 யானைக்கு நீர் மிகவும் அத்தியவாசியமான ஓன்று. நீர்நிலைகளைக் கண்டால் சிறுபிள்ளைத் தனமாக நீரில் இறங்கி ஆட்டம் போட ஆரம்பித்துவிடும்… அதுவும் யானை கூட்டமாக இருந்தால் குதுகலத்துடன் விளையாட ஆரம்பித்து விடும்….இத்தனை பெரிய உடலை வைத்துக் கொண்டு ஏதாவது சுட்டித் தனம் செய்து அடிபட்டு விட்டால், அல்லது ஆபத்தில் சிக்கி விட்டால், அதை மீட்பதும் சிரமம்.. .
