Indian Rock Python (Python molurus molurus) hatched at the VOC Park Reptile House, Coimbatore



Hatched 22 of the 23 eggs it had laid 40 days ago. 03.05.2012.As per the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources (IUCN) Indian python has been classified as Near Threatened Category RED DATA BOOK 1996.

நெட்டிலிங்க மரம், இந்தியாவின் தென்பகுதிகளையும் இலங்கையையும் தாயகமாகக் கொண்டது. சில சமயங்களில் அசோக மரம் என தவறாக அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.இது சுமார் 10-15 மீட்டர் வரை உயரமாக வளரக்கூடியது. (Adjacent to compound wall )மதிலோரமாகவும், (along the Road Side) பாதைகளின் இருபுறமும் வரிசையாக நட்டு வளர்ப்பதற்குப் பொருத்தமானது. இது கிளைகள் பரப்பி வளர்வது இல்லை

முந்திரி

                             Cashew (Anacardium occidentale)    The Cashew is a medium size tree, native to northeastern Brazil.

எதையாவது துடுக்குத் தனமாகவோ அல்லது முந்திக் கொண்டோ செய்பவர்களை முந்திரிக் கொட்டை என்று திட்டுவார்கள். அதற்குக் காரணம் முந்திரிப் பழத்தைப் பார்த்தாலே புரிந்து விடும்.பொதுவாக ஒரு பழத்தின் கொட்டை பழத்திற்குள்தான் இருக்கும். ஆனால் முந்திரி கொட்டை மட்டும் பழத்திற்கு வெளியே நீட்டிக் கொண்டிருக்கும். Ref:
